PUSH PIN-UP PRODUCTIONS HOSTS “REFLEXION & PROJEXION” – ITS 2ND ANNUAL WHITE LINEN KICKOFF ART PARTY ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 2, 2012 FROM 5 - 9PM
THE WORKS OF EMERGING PAINTERS, VIDEOGRAPHERS, GRAPHIC ARTISTS AND SCULPTORS WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE BEAUTIFUL GLASS SKY-LOBBY OF THE 930 POYDRAS BUILDING
Push Pin-Up Productions is pleased to host its Second Annual “Reflexion & Projexion” Art Party to kick-off New Orleans’ White Linen weekend. The multimedia show will feature ultra-modern works of art created by artisans from around the globe, including recent works from some of Louisiana’s most talented up-and-coming visual artists.
“There are so many artists who don’t get enough opportunities to exhibit their work. They possess the talent but have never been given the chance to get their work out there, or perhaps they don’t know where to begin. “Reflexion & Projexion” focuses on showing the work of artists who don’t necessarily have representation, or who may be new to the industry,” said Rebecca Mason, director of Push Pin-Up Productions.
Push Pin-Up Productions created “Reflexion & Projexion” to celebrate the creativity of emerging artists in the spirit of a broad appreciation and encouragement for the talents of others. Curated by a handful of artists and enthusiasts, “Reflexion & Projexion” is a juried exhibition featuring over 50 mixed media art forms. Hand-selected paintings, drawings, digital art, sculptures and video/sound installations will be thoughtfully displayed in the beautiful lobby of the 930 Poydras Building.
The all glass façade of the exhibition space is the ideal backdrop for the modern art show. Located in the ninth-floor sky lobby of the ultra-posh 930 Poydras Residential Tower, the 6,000-square-foot double-height lounge is comprised of two-story panels of glass and metal offering expansive views of the lovely New Orleans nighttime skyline below.
Live entertainment will be provided by guest DJs. Local dishes, wine, beer and cocktails will be provided by several renowned restaurants and caterers.
