The exhibition presents paintings , engravings , images , words and sounds processed by the Roman Sabrina Carletti . The protagonist , the space of everyday life , the city outside - inside, its noise retraced on a second trip , made of new awareness . Writes the artist : " a survey of places constantly changing , those closest to me , and crossed observed , snatched with photos, drawings, metabolized and fixed on the canvas or on the document . A suggestion that the project is not theorized , but inevitable starting point , which develops in the direct experience of art making , with the urgency of doing so, to understand each other and understand . " From The Bottom is a local point of view , peripheral colliding with global and well reflected , inevitably , certain modifications of a more general nature concerning the conversion and the interaction between man and the land, that they live in and that influence the development , often emarginandone or paralyzing progress. From The Bottom is also the personal dimension , the space of the past, the memory. The station, the bridge Portonaccio, in the east of Rome, the metro station Tiburtina . Local , very local , but then not so much different and individual realities and tend to become collective , merging and complicating . Heterogeneous realities and survival , strength and conflicting solutions assume that in this context, an interesting incubator , a test bench.
From Below is the artistic , which clashes with the contemporary rhythms and timing , the timing of painting and engraving above , side by side, as sometimes happens , even by words , not as compensation and relief , but as a vital and necessary integration expression , an act of resistance and construction continues. Finally, a point of view from the bottom, which becomes the space where you can look up and try to go further.
Sabrina Carletti , Roman painter and engraver . He has had several exhibitions at national and international level, his works are now part of public and private collections and is , as of this year , this VI in the Repertoire of the Italian Engravers of the Cabinet of Ancient and Modern Bagnacavallo (RA) Alterna artistic activity to that of educator of educational workshops for adults and children, at Laborars , she founded the Cultural Association . At the first approach of matter, instinctive painting, following an intensive course linked to research on the sign, thanks to the passionate experimentation undertaken with traditional intaglio techniques , which began in 2006 at the Free Course on Techniques of ' engraving ( Rufa , Free Academy of Fine Arts ) in Rome.
