The Rooms is a project curated by Raffaele Mauro Zanchi and Sicignano, which pays attention to various contemporary art experiences.
The exhibition Luiselli Clara - waited alone converts the exhibition space into an installation that transforms the concept of waiting time in the enigmatic factor. Gives rise to a trip that marks the transition into a continuous movement in the rooms made of unknowns about when and dynamic reflections. The curator Mauro Zanchi in his text he describes the exhibition:
Clara Luiselli recreates a trip to the underworld of the time, and moments between sleep states accelerated in perennial waiting through four rooms, like a gradual descent in the size of a deeply intimate history. As each user runs his own trip in the rooms, the time is getting wider, expands, as if they expand into an internal form, where everyone can stop a duration that want to go deeper into the recesses space and time. Time slows down the look, expanding ecstatic stasis until the last room. When going from one room to another, people are induced to slow their movement, for deeper understanding, with the medium of attention and effort.
The first room is a passage, as if it would pass quickly set up next to a window. It is an empty space that is charged with Polaroid, traces of the performance impromptu, chaotic form, little by little, shooting shot. There are pictures of the performance put in place in the great basin of the former mill, which are hung in real time. Images are associated with various other objects on the walls or laid on the floor, and moments of wandering in space forms, forms that may not have links between them. There is also the winch on which the beads are wrapped in red, a witness of the performance as sculpture.
In the second room is set up by the Waiting for the sun, a tangle of metal elements, with a self-supporting, labyrinth, built to carry the light of the sun (or a domestic interior illuminated by a chandelier) in the hollow of a niche. The light is captured by "gobo", which is small reflecting surfaces, it captures the flavor of the light to bring in a dimension dominated by dark. Represents a shift from an extension outside, to re-enter another extension, in perpetual motion, which allows you to take the infinitesimal moment, at a given moment of time, after a long and difficult construction, liberating a flight to take off . As if you could get away with the thought, waiting for the right time, even for a moment, unable to grasp a little ray of sunshine, a breath of fresh air in a state of captivity.
In the third room - an area for decompression of detachment, because long and narrow, with the presence evokes a showcase / coffin - there is a metronome that moves the rod, alternating here and there, constantly, now to the word "always" now to "never". Here you will stop before the possibility of revelation, in a rhythm infinite, in a time that continues to move. Until you decide to accept a word or the other one is in a suspended time. Both words lead back to a perception enigmatic, between two opposite directions. Clara feels a great attraction for the puzzles, for the words that have dual meanings, for spaces that expand within an enclosed space, for rooms that open into other rooms, other places, other dimensions. As if you were in a dream projection, in an uninhabited place that reveals, through rooms and corridors, many rooms that open to a very large inner sphere. Passage of time, therefore, from one room to another. Wait after waiting alone in the dark. Looking at the passage of rays, such as blades in silence. To arrive at the end of the oracle in the room, filled with books closed, where the responses are ready to be picked. The work draws a tree that sheds its leaves. Birch leaves, which appear in gold leaf, which poetically vibrate when there is little wind. It's time for change. Each one carries away a strip of paper and an encounter with a phrase or keyword, as if they were oracles, who expects answers by fate. Words to detach, short phrases, collected from the look, now suspended in a network. Out of context, words cut from fashion magazines become a lapidary phrase, as if they came from the mouths of pagan prophets, from Pythia or Cassandra. Networks is galvanizing a new relationship, created by the case for half and half from the meeting between the words chosen by Clara and the hands of the users that they will carry. The words serve as support mechanisms for those who are waiting for answers, help those who want to move something in the express wishes. As you remove the leaves / sheets, the gaze of the viewer can see more clearly the presence of books in the library, places, thoughts beyond the boundaries of history, places of memory that are now on the shelves, evidence of four-dimensional leaps .
