After their success with H2Geneous at last year's Nuit Blanche, Anthony F. Saad & Alek Grguric are at it again!
This year's work at Propeller Gallery's official Nuit Blanche exhibit explores the limits of meaning by turning McLuhan’s iconic phrase on its head, so that in turn “the message is the medium”.
Susan Sontag wrote, “interpretation is the revenge of the intellect upon art”. All the smart people will be at this show!
mimim - an installation in 2 parts
#1 - 'mimim' allows YOU to interpret art to create a new message in a new medium.
#2 - your message will be added to other messages and presented in near realtime on a large projection.
The story of mimim will be created one message at a time for the duration of Nuit Blanche. Later in the following week, it will be presented at the Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts at the exhibit "Intersecting Messages", featuring artwork by members of the Centre.
Come by and add your message on the night of Saturday October 1st.
