CROSS FADE
Exhibitions, Italy, Ferrara, 30 November -1
In a time of transition like the one we are experiencing is not unusual to come across artists who are investigating the ambiguity of Being, the evanescence of Dasein, staging, at the same time, in an intoxicating game of mirrors, ' presence and absence of the presence of absence of what is subject to excellence: the Man. And here the ambiguous play between presence and absence triggers another game of mirrors unsettling: the subject becomes the subject, and vice versa.

So it is impossible to determine if the figures of the last century, taken from old photographs, with which Simone Boscolo populates his works, normally surface waves of memory or rather are sinking into the depths of Oblivion. And the epiphanies of skeletal trees and stylized Gaetano Fiore are manifestations of the delusions of Real or Dream? And in the pictures of Stefano Accorsi is the light (the soul) to make his way in the dense darkness of vibrant color or vice versa is the darkness to swallow the light? And the comic of deleted Stramacchia represent the apotheosis of pop culture or its dissolution?

The memory and oblivion, the presence and absence, all and nothing, this show dance on invisible thread (and unbreakable) that binds these opposite ends and perhaps to suggest that, in fact, opposites not only represent two aspects of same coin, but perhaps even the same thing.

To be or not to be? Both. At the same time.
