She has participated in international survey shows such as Documenta in Kassel (1997), the Venice Biennale (1999 and 2005) and the the Instanbul Biennale (2003).

She has exhibited her work at Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art (2002) and Castel Sant’Elmo in Naples (2002). She has also received numerous prestigious international awards, including the Italian Studio Program P.S.1 in New York (1999), the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale (1999), along with the other artists selected for the Italian Pavilion and the Italian Young Artist Award (2001).

“Appealing to a constellation of senses - olfactory, acoustic, visual, temporal - the lyrical installations address the personal and collective, the political and the philosophical. Her works are fragile, mobile or floating, mostly sculpture with ordinary materials, site-specific projects, video, installations, drawings and photo”.

(Introductions by Robert Birkenhoff, professor at Rhode Island School of Design’s European Honor Program in Rome).

The talk is organized by the Siena Art Institute together with the Museo d'arte per bambini of Siena.
