A tribute to Giuseppe Verdi two hundred years after his birth. That is the focus of musicologist Guido Burchi, protagonist of a new "StARTers" discussion.
After the tribute to Wagner last February, Burchi will return as the Siena Art Institute's guest to celebrate the musical genious of Verdi. By listening to songs of his repertoir, we will trace a portrait which will examine the fundamental aspects of his theatrical and musical conception.
A personality of tough temperment, during his long life Verdi gradually modified his style, entrusting in his old age the melodramma to the forceful transformations of the new generations, an evolution which Burchi will retrace with the "StARTers" audience during his presentation.
