Madeinfilandia is a micro-residency art project that takes place at Filanda di Pieve in Presciano (AR), an example of industrial archeology from the XIX century. Among its founders are Luca Pancrazzi, Claudio Maccari, Elena El Asmar and Loris Cecchini.
An expository project that goes beyond the usual distinction of the roles assigned to art, translating into shared participation the encounter of different professions and personalities, based on the pure and simple energy of ideas. The goal of the micro-residencies that have now been held for three years is the circulation and comparison of creative impulses through the dialogue of skills and abilities, of prospectives and of divergent and convergent directions. The artists realize and curate the installation of their artwork in a collaborative community context, devoid of the ideological superstructures and the constraints of value, playing the role of both actor and spectator. The analysis and the interpretation of a theme as specific as it is elastic, like Place, is accomplished in the total freedom of the production, as it is in the intentions of the founding fathers of Madeinfilandia. In this way the experience is enriched not only by what is done, but also by how it has been accomplished, tracing a sort of phenomenology of the experience and therefore of the genesis of the work. Madeinfilandia emerges as a sort of Utopia, a physical and mental place where ideas are cultivated and art is born on its own; one only needs evoke it.
The fourth edition of Madeinfilandia is expected in October 2013 and it will include the participation of a large number of artists.
