TRANSBORDA (Overflow) will take part on the transversal cultural program of the 2nd edition of the Books & Movies big event that will be held in the Portuguese historic city of Alcobaça, between 1st and 10th June 2015. The Books & Movies – Alcobaça 2015, it’s one of the major municipality events, the summer biggest one, that aims to promote, publicise and reward literature and film forms of art and is pointed to an extend audience that have a passion for reading, writing or filming. Intend to be the ideal place for sharing experiences between readers, authors, filmmakers and experts, teachers and students, in a context of discovery of literature and movies. It’s confirmed the presence of filmmakers, literature and cinema experts, editors, journalists, illustrators and more than a dozen
writers. All participants’ gatherings will be held in the city public spaces and cafes located in the historic area. Among the high inputs of the program it is worth noting the Book Fair (taking place every day), the Books & Movies Pop Concert (at the Wine Museum) and the Books & Movies International Prize Gala (this year awarding literature and giving tribute to the Mozambique writer Mia Couto). During ten days, the program will be filled with exhibitions, cinema screenings (fictional and documentary), theatre, concerts, and roundtable meetings with writers and filmmakers, book releases and author’s signing, ludic activities and among all, the TRANSBORDA (Overflow) Light Arm = 2 rivers + 2 flows = 1 utopia - International Expanded Cinema and Video Art Exhibition.
