Exhibition " Things of this world "
To say that advertising is invasive and mystifying , beyond the sacred duty to inform when this many pages were written by distinguished essayists , is certainly not new, but getting advertising and do so using the same media and languages is a bit ' the novelty of his first editorial work " Tips for shopping" , published by the Publishing House Graffiti .
Disassemble and reassemble the essentials, slogan and image of the promotional message and approach , relating them to each other in a game of references and associations , was the work of trying to highlight and expose the mechanisms of manipulation.
In the second part of the publication Armando Casali has come to see how the specifics of urban advertising , consisting of billboards and wall posters , the ' action of the weather and especially the wear and tear caused by the passage of time, change both the images and messages contained in them bringing them closer to the language and expressions belonging to the artistic world .
Continuing research on posters, in the course of the general election of 2013 , before the ' posting of messages on support panels , the ' author was attracted by the process of " oxidation " of metal plates also they are the subject of ' aggression and Rain time .
Those transformations have led him to take an imaginary and fantastic journey where the words "Space" and " Time " chase to ' infinity. Things for an "other world."
