In 2006, Julius and I activated the Extreme Gender Art project: a series of events focusing on censored performance art . We had the ambition to create a real movement on performance art: thus was born the Human Installations.
Extreme Gender Art is the subset of performative forms are often censored as extreme body art and post porn art.
At first it was hard: the proposed contents often frightened. We were told that few people would have followed the events. We attacked the posters during the night driven by a motivation: we wanted to be considered "the edge" could be part of the many possible alternatives. The purpose was to entertain the audience. The public is hungry for new content, be educated.
We did not understand exactly what was happening. There were those who support our initiatives, others preferred to remain in 'field typically underground or wanted to find their own way with the illusion to erase what had been done before, but the movement was born and with all his detachments, tears, transformations, any development of any artist who has been part of our project even for a one day inevitably enrich our history. The movement is alive and, in fact, BUTTON.
