A few months after the third year, SWEET SHEETS, an event born in 2007, conceived and hosted from Zell ART CONTEMPORNEA, reach a fourth stage completely renovated. To host this homage to magic and the fragility of the paper, is now Modica, baroque town of eastern Sicily, namely the Palace of Culture, former home of the historic court and today houses the Museo Civico Archeologico, located in the heart of the historic .
Thanks to new synergies and the valuable collaboration of the Roman gallery MOTELSALIERI conducted by Fabio Quaranta, has reached a total of over 100 artists who in recent years have supported and shared project and more than 500 works of small and medium format, structured in a kind of choral work excessively saturated.
An accumulation of images capable of bashing the retina, a "chamber of wonders" where a game of references and crossings, triggers endless connections between works quite distant from photography to drawing, collage, incision, investigating research of artists of different generations and antithetical tendencies.
Will also be presented to the public Sicilian Nazi Knife, a print publication for graphic arts and visual arts born in Paris 4 years ago by the will of Jonas Delaborde and Hendrik Hegray, showing the best of contemporary design dating back to the "Outsider Art" of the 2000s, both U.S. and European. To this year, first in Italy in a project hosted by Motelsalieri, curated by Valerio Mattioli and Massimiliano Bomba.
The latter, will present "WORMS" a limited edition publication produced at the third edition of "Sweet Sheets.
As usual will be in distribution, "Graffiti", a collection of drawings stapled by staples by the artists and Garden Laura Elena Rapa and "UND" fanzine VM18, curated by photographer Danilo Pasquali.
