Open Studio
Exhibitions, Italy, Bologna, 24 January 2014
Collegio Venturoli in Bologna is pleased to announce the opening of its spaces as Open studio, in order to show the ateliers where the six artists selected from Fondazione Collegio Artistico Venturoli are working.
The event presents the research of Barbara Baroncini, Gianluca Capaldo, Irene Fenara, Simona Paladino, Giacomo Gresleri, Davide Trabucco and it gives access to their studios. Walking through these spaces reflects a path within their creative process. Collegio Venturoli then represents an incubation period in which young artists can grow and express their potential.
Open studio wants to unveil the institution’s identity that, since almost two centuries, is to support young artists by giving them spaces to develop a personal artistic research. Visitors are invited to discover a historical place devoted to arts, while preserving its identity through new generations.
Fondazione Collegio Artistico Venturoli, born in 1993, embraces the aim of ancient Collegio Venturoli, founded in 1825 under the will and inheritance of the architect Angelo Venturoli (1749-1821). After the original function of Collegio Venturoli as an art school had ceased, Fondazione Venturoli launched a periodical competition in order to select young artists who would be awarded with the full use of its spaces as studios.
