From May 15 until June 28, the Galleria Civica di Monza will host an original exhibition proposal that offers 60 art posters related to as many exhibitions held between 1951 and 1977 in Milan, in Italy, in Europe and the United States.
The exhibition, curated by Dorian Cara, fusing different aspects: the communication of the artistic history of the art galleries, the activity of collecting two protagonists of critical Milanese Domenico Cara and Luca Crippa, the analysis of the manifesto became over time the subject of art and historical memory.
The works on display, part of a corpus of 200 posters, mark an important moment in our artistic and cultural history, starting with the post-war revival until the mutation of relational methods of the 80s, for which are to be emphasized estri creative artists and designer, incisiveness communicative and ephemeral visibility, since the events lasted less than a month, however, scoring the fate of many artists and contemporary art history delivered in vision advertising.
"An original exhibition that leads us to rethink the relationship between art and communication between artist and audience," said the Councillor for Culture Francesca Dell'Aquila "the artist himself thought, created and often autografava invitations and posters that were used by gallery owners to create exclusive vernissage, raise criticism and intrigue the client. "
Among the posters displayed chronologically be visible major initiatives related to Rauschenberg, Odilon Redon, Pollock, Capogrossi, Max Ernst, Emilio Vedova, Dubuffet, Picasso, Klee, Jasper Johns, Yves Klein, Tapies, Morlotti, Oldenburg, Christo, Cy Twombly, Arturo Martini, Lichtenstein, Rosenquist, Max Bill, Fautrier, Warhol, Piero Manzoni, Chamberlain, Bonalumi, Mario Schifano, Fountain, Kandinsky, Boetti, Vasarely, Duchamp, Asger Jorn, Yayoi Kusama.
