Armenia. History of the stones 1/2
Workshops , Armenia, Yerevan, 10 August 2011
An encounter with a harsh land and as old as Armenia is certainly unique and unparalleled experience that, like the stone, carves within us, forever.
The harmony between the mountainous terrain of the Great Caucasus and architecture born of and among the rocks, shaped lovingly and technical perfection, make the Armenian land a place full of mystic and sacred, in which breathes exceptionally that old man's vocation to dialogue with the Almighty.
First country in history that has made Christianity in 310 AD C., its state religion, Armenia continues to hold, in such remote places as scenically beautiful, monasteries by complex massing and churches like monoliths, almost always overlooking breathtaking places where you can breathe the infinite.
The silence and the joint desire of meditation, enhanced by the far horizons of the rugged mountains are the most satisfying and original ways to read this rich history of stones and live with deep intimacy the opportunity that this country offers: finally find themselves and be accompanied to a pure interior recollection.
