The exhibition is further tribute to the winning artist in January 2009, the International Prize and Exhibition of Small Graphic and Ex Libris "Art and the Mountain", an event organized by CAI in collaboration with the Gism.
Among the hundreds of works have come from 53 different nations, which were received from 322 artists and exhibited at the MAPP, etching and aquatint by Dimo R03;R03;Kolibarov, entitled Between the Earth and Sky has been recognized as worthy of being recognized for the originality of the subject, the refined technical and graphic expertise, the invention compositions and expressive creativity. The regulation of the prize also included the construction of an exhibition that would allow the public to admire other creations of the artist's winner.
Dimo Kolibarov born in Pomorie, Bulgaria, in 1965, and has specialized in the two techniques of etching and acquatint.
Stylistic peculiarities Kolibarov are the realization of settings and characters taken from the fairy-tale dream and create amazing worlds of dream, light and poetic as the fantasies of children and their surreal timeless atmosphere.
Kolibarov has participated in exhibitions around the world since 1989, representing also the culture and Bulgarian artists in numerous shows and events in different places in the world.
Suspended between heaven and earth (the same title of the work awarded in 2009) wants to be, as well as a tribute to the Bulgarian artist, also a stimulus, impetus and momentum to that carefree fairytale world, pure and intimate setting where you can end up looking reality with the eyes of a child; opportunity to dive into a colorful world where stories are contained within a few inches of paper, but in reality, and open wide to hide magical infinite universes.
Since 2003 works as an assistant Kolibarov Dimo, Department of Graphic Arts National Art Academy in Sofia: recognition for his exceptional qualities of engraving and artistic skills.
