I am glad to announce that the 2010 edition of Wannabee Prize International Art Contest has been a great success. Over 700 works submitted from 15 different countries have confirmed that professionalism and seriousness in culture pay back.
We are proud to present you the 2011 edition of Wannabee Prize International Art Contest, a contemporary art competition that gives worldwide visibility to the best talents in art. Unfortunately it is not very common for an emerging artist to attempt an international career and the chances of consent for his/her work are often subject to regional tastes.
Wannabee Prize International Art Contest creates interactions among players in the international art system, a concrete and fruitful exchange that provides a global showcase to participating artists and real career and growth opportunities abroad. In addition to the cash prize, the highest award of this contest is a contract for a solo exhibition in Milan.
Moreover, in order to ensure a highly qualified selection, Wannabee Gallery has selected a committee composed of 25 representatives of the most prestigious international institutions in academia, media, art, museums and curatorial field.
A disinterested and democratic assessment of the artist’s work will be guaranteed: the evaluation process will not be based only on the competing art piece but on a wider selection of images taken from his/her his recent past.
