"Path between the dark labyrinths and mirrors" 3rd edition of the Biennial of creative Art in Viterbo
PURPOSE
In a particularly difficult time for our country, the Biennale, thanks to its intimate vocation to the promotion of creativity, socialization and interculturality, aims to reach and contact authors historicized with the younger ones, those who have arrived on the art scene at the beginning of the Third Millennium , suggesting an element of reflection on the theme of strong social relevance not only in the artistic field , of having to disentangle between labyrinths and mirrors in the path in the dark of everyday life.
To implement this ambitious project requires the involvement of the entire city at the same time setting up four exhibitions , each in a separate location , although ideally connected to one another , accompanied also by some of the cultural events such as the Round Table " The care through the mirror of the soul of Art " entrusted to specialists (it is expected the participation of Prof. Maurizio Pompili , a physician and professor for suicide prevention S. Andrea Hospital in Rome, Dr. Daniela Teresi , Psychologist and Psychotherapist , Professor Gabriella Trani , writer ) and qualified , live demonstrations of craft techniques and small interludes and performances of theater and juggling, poetry and prose.
Palazzo dei Priori, Council Chamber : in this prestigious location , exceptionally made available for the occasion , will host the opening press conference of the initiative to the presence of the host authorities of the Diocese of Viterbo , the Sponsor and institutional authorities , in people the Mayor and Councillors of the City of Culture , the Province of Viterbo and the Lazio Region , as well as those of the University of Tuscia and curators .
Palace of the Popes , Alessandro Sala IV will exhibit the work of artists more historicized in dialogue with those of young newly established . It will be nearly a hundred works , choices between different modes of expression: the techniques of Painting and Sculpture to Video Art and Installations .
Palace Brugiotti , given the deep cultural roots that over the centuries have linked the arts of earth and fire to the city of Viterbo , for the period of the Biennale , it was decided to open a contemporary part of the Ceramics Museum of Viterbo , allowing artists who express themselves with ceramics , the possibility to prepare their work in the prestigious Palazzo Brugiotti .
Museo del Colle del Duomo pavilion autonomous means to ponder what are the aspirations of the new trends emerging that would otherwise have no opportunity to publicly display their work with the " Emerging " .
former Church of St. Thomas exhibition of the works for the competition " Academies " addressed to young artists (ages 18 to 35 years old) enrolled in Academies , Institutes and Schools of Arts and the Faculty of Architecture. This initiative has already been sent invitations to participate to the teachers of the Academy of Fine Arts in Viterbo , Rome , Milan , Perugia , Urbino , and others who want to apply .
