On the occasion of the 41 th edition, this year the Giffoni Film Festival has confirmed its interest in contemporary art, presenting the exhibition "LINKOLORS. Pictures / Images "at the picturesque church of San Francesco di Giffoni Valle Piana, 13 to 21 July 2011.
Curated by Salvatore Colantuoni, the exhibition, now in its fourth round, reflecting this year, links, possible links between ideas, color and creative expression through the works of 24 artists who will compete for the prize "for Giffoni 'art'.
In keeping with the theme of the film festival, the collective "LINKOLORS" will, however, also generates the following links and more: not just subjective, in fact, represented by single works, but also works the same with each other, techniques and media, through a language first international proportions with different backgrounds of the artists in competition, and since then the universal is the universal language of art.
From photography to figurative art, from ceramics to installations, the work will be evaluated which may express preferences from June, all members of the facebook community festival and boys Elements +16 jury that this year will be able to know
the authors during a series of meetings and workshops specifically designed to involve young people in a broader dialogue on art that promotes a discussion about the different experiences and the infinite forms of creativity.
The exhibition is supported and funded by Hospira, the main sponsor of the event, and will be illustrated by a catalog published by Editions DEd'A.
