Its opens saterday 1th december at 19:30h the exhibition of contemporary and visionary art IMAGINARIUM: Myths, Fables, Allegories and Legends in the Internet Age. During opening the interview to SILVIA DE GENNARO (by Rome, Italy) and the performance "Vetruvio: Last Act" by MASSIMILIANO MANIERI (Lecce, Italy). The exhibition is curated by DORES SACQUEGNA.The artist mustdeliver the gift to the people of a new alphabet, fabric signs with which to interpret the essence of the mystery. (Cadmus)
Nota day goes by that somewhere in the world does not come out of a new urban legend. Today, in the era of the Internet, technology and mass communications, the legends are still alive and well and continue to interfere in the life of every day. Many times turn out to be unfounded rumors, expressions of symbolic thought and contemporary folklore, tales of exceptional circumstances, of love, betrayal and murder. The study many: psychologists, anthropologists, sociologists, historians, artists, and yet they are a phenomenon full of mystery. The issues most frequently are the tools of divination, astrology, fairy tales and legends, allegories and popular sayings, the supernatural and urban violence. Legends interpret, explain, indicate hazards, suggest that reveal attitudes and behaviors and representations of science and technology, which give rise to social truths, collective memory or tradition. The creation of a contemporary myth takes place in the same way as the old ones were created by mixing real elements with other unreal.
