Giulia Berra
Nowhere is a cloud
curated by Fabio Carnaghi

Contemporary Art loves big size, immersive installations, interaction, set design, grandeur. Giulia Berra reserve for herself another glance. Near, tactile. Insects, galls, chrysalises: little fragile things, to be observed with respect, without touching. It's a familiar but not intimistic dimension, as if we returned to the dawn of Natural Sciences reformulating questions in another way. The artist investigates emptiness, mutations, fluctuations, trying to define their borders. She study processes, biological cycles and their interactions, their limits.

Nowhere is a cloud curated by Fabio Carnaghi is an installation project of Giulia Berra inquisitive nature with scientific method, experimenting with the boundaries of science and reproducibility through maquettes or miniature representations. The study focuses on the imitation of natural phenomena. The flight is attractive for Berra ranging from suggestions entomological to construction projects.

The feather as objet trouvé assumes the meanings more extensive: talisman or symbol of the dream. Beyond the anthropological-cultural superstructure, the artist intervenes in the tower of a castle. The installation continues to live in the air and changes according to the frailty of the plumage of birds.
