STEFANO MARIOTTI
"TEXTURES"
by Francesca Mariotti
Vernissage Friday, November 4, 2016, 17:30

The artist Stefano Mariotti in Florence, exposes his engaging staff "TEXTURES", at the magnificent ALEXANDER MUSEUM PALACE HOTEL Count Alessandro Ferruccio Marcucci Pinoli, by Francesca Mariotti. The curator so it began working with this wonderful property, very modern and contemporary museum, outside the box, which brings the art in direct contact with people, welcoming them inside in a hotel of the highest standard.
The Alexander Hotel Museum Pesaro is a complex work, born in 2008, and the fruit of four years of work in which engineers, architects and above all famous artists and in museums were involved. Names such as Pomodoro, Enzo Cucchi, Mimmo Paladino, Sandro Chia, Gino Marotta, just to name a few, have given their substantial contribution to the realization of this permanent performance, as he likes to call the owner, Count Marcucci Pinoli, Nani for friends, very special and eclectic personality, writer, poet, painter and sculptor, protagonist of the cultural life of Pesaro. Every room, every room, every detail is signed by a different author .... Nine floors of contemporary art, is not expressed in its fixity, but involved in a dynamic game of encounters, confrontations, exhibitions and courses that make it a laboratory continuous testing of the human creativity.
Well then insert the artist, conceptual and kinetic, Stefano Mariotti, who describes its magnificent TESSITURE: "..... the wires that flood my paintings are meant to veil the surface of the canvas to hide a portion and revealing only what I want. The psychological game that I intend to bring to the attention is then based on this dual aspect of look and I look, as if deliberately ajar I held a door that hides something ..... "
TESSITURE is an exhibition that seems to come from the concept of "paradox", ie para-doxa, beyond the opinion, then that goes "beyond appearances", beyond that blanket of gestures and statements that conceal or attempt to conceal the reality some things. Can then just hard to understand and think about these double works, canvases or boards already masterfully painted and then hidden behind kilometers of tense and cross cotton thread to hide and create a blanket of dense and colorful fabric in turn. A blanket that hides the work already accomplished, a veil of "modesty" about what too "brazenly" you could find and seize the painting. A kinetic effect, almost "optical" in the latest creations that "fools the eye" of the beholder, and sometimes makes it difficult the same reading of the work in creating a continuous uncertainty, a different reality whenever it seizes from points different views. Kinetics in fact create movement, illusory or real, in distorting the perspective that makes it increasingly assume different meanings. A conceptual artist who refuses to be classified in any movement or ancestry, but who tries between technique and meaning, "his way" to express their thoughts. The beautiful mono or bi-chrome are increasingly making "three-dimensional" his canvas that looks for the volume to capture the lights. Playing this way on the "mutation" of the work itself, Mariotti captures the viewer and involves making "actor" that makes use of the work by its very movement around it, stimulating, empathically, the most different emotions!
The exhibition runs until 18 November 2016.
