"Fleeting Permanence" at the Larson Galery - St Paul University in Minnesota
Works by Mariannic Parra and Tony Angelino. The volcanic sand found in Mariannic Parra's artwork and the use of stone and metal in Tony Angelino's sculptures give a sense of strength and permanence. However, despite these materials' eternal qualities, both artists work with the theme of erosion and effects of permanence. Each artist plays with the idea that in reality, nothing is forever.
