Our bookmarks want to suggest one possible path through the work of eight artists, different in terms of media and topics. The idea of using the term bookmark seems useful in order to describe an itinerary made of very different artistic approaches.
Bookmarks are today one of the constituent elements of the social dimension of the net. Not only lists and personal reminders, but actual instruments of sharing which can open the net to new knots and can enlarge existing communities.
Following this logic, besides the works of art, the exhibition will host a space in which every visitor will be free to write his/her personal art bookmarks and to read other’s suggestions. The idea is that of thinking the exhibition space as a process of social bookmarking. This means that we are not using algorithms (as it happens with traditional search engines) to guide the navigation but rather a series of semantic choices of the single visitors.
