A thin line divides the concept of contemporary art and industrial designer: this is subject to endless interpretations.
An artist creates a landscape of the soul, imaginary, real, he is a pictorial space, sculptural, photographic, creating within each of them a story, where the images represented are the result of a state of mind that he needs to be expressed fulfilling its role provocative and educational facing contemporary society.
While visual art in general arrives and uses an aesthetic expression fulfilling a purely intellectual.
The designer ignores the pure function aesthetic / conceptual and form a thought object that is configured with its artistic component that prepares the same time to the magical world of "project", this is understood as a process of transformation of the form that must be primarily functional. Products manufactured in large scale meet the needs of the market.
A 'work of art lives its uniqueness is created as a single piece, not reproducible.
One of the reasons that prompted the MaMo (gallery-experimental laboratory for the visual arts) to select a small company linked to the world of French design, is that it has always worked by combining the two forms of expression: ART and DESIGN. With their creative work delicate and made with lightweight materials, dedicated to the world of childhood take us back to the 'idea that the two issues together can break the thin thread that links the visual art design.
Pina Della Rossa Design and Art History teacher, photographer and painter, lives and works in Naples. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, was a pupil of Carlo Alfano and Mimmo Jodice. Its specific language is to work with images suggesting photography as a tool for reflection and analysis. His research, which began in the eighties, he wants to be a great return to painting. Fundamental, then, it is the intensive dialogue between painting and photography, two inseparable elements, which manifests itself through a relationship of different languages within the same image. In this regard it focuses on the composition, on the study of color and light, the tonal contrasts, on games of plans, and the intensity of the details. In order to overcome the physical surface of the painting, to go over the pictures to include the space-time dimension.
