The painter Stefania Di Filippo, represents his first real artistic critic Andrea Romoli Barberini in 2005 presented as follows:
"If at first glance the work of Stefano Di Filippo seems to be focused on a sophisticated and exotic on the recovery of the myth of escape, just ask ul cutting composition of these paintings, paintings dwell on overlays that highlight the essence of so many distant cultures to understand that focusing on what is different from us is not that a way to criticize our Western world. That Di Filippo is in fact a painting behind the diaphragm of a pleasant exterior conceals all of did a very severe criticism that part of the world, like ours, which for decades has initiated, with globalization of markets and the standardization process of needs and dreams, the reset of cultural identities and removal from common feeling, as the sense of s entimenti of belonging to a people and its history, honor, pride, conscious awareness of one's self. In this way the picture has almost the value of the instrument of anthropological investigation aimed at discovery and retrieval of all that has been neutralized by single thought. Given these assumptions, in the work of Di Filippo is easy to deduce the indispensability of the painting technique that oppose the process with his "cold" of photography radically rejects any contact with the technology to recognize in it the ultimate weapon service approval. "
