For the occasion, the Roman artist presents a new series of works that are part of the latest project of painting and sculpture Ballooning in Cappadocia. The works on show are the result of an artistic research developed as a result of a journey made by the artist in Turkey in 2009 where Di Filippo, stimulated by the sight of the territory of Cappadocia from a hot air balloon or transcribed on canvas the emotions of that experience.
By analyzing closely the work on display, you can in fact take in the palette used by the artist, mainly composed of soft, warm colors, such as this one evokes the topography of the region in Turkey, while the lightness of the color liquid remember the rarefied atmosphere of the experience the flight. This aerial view is thus sublimated by the artist's sensibility and reworked into a personal and vibrant mapping of reality.
In addition to oils and watercolors, the works are performed with mixed media and include material extrapittorico. In this trial the journey physical and mental journey are mixed, the oil surrounds the materials from everyday life and keeps them together as if they keep it a memory, a memory.
The photographs, excerpts of newspapers and paper so transfigured testify together individual and collective experience.
