Lapides is a photographic work dedicated to the status of women and gender discrimination. It has been realized within the granite quarry Luz de Compostela (Spain), assuming a woman dressed as a symbol of shocking pink. The absence of a complaint body right denied, that of the freedom to be, both in terms of mental and behavioral and aesthetic. The stone represents a dual element: that of the chthonic nature of the motherland, and the brutality of stoning. The works tell of a world in which the human being is now absent. However, the thoughts and actions of men and women are evoked by icy atmosphere, by a disturbing beauty apparent, from a robe and a nature both violated.
