"Imagining plaza"

"The exhibition Beyond the limit makes the scene in Piazza Fontana in Milan multimedia installations by 15 artists who disclaim the theme of the fall of the Berlin Wall in a free and imaginative with the objective of transforming the city into an experimental laboratory of the arts contemporary visual arts.

The site-specific works investigate the contradictions of the global society:

Environment / metropolis

Center / periphery

Wealth / poverty

Religion / Ethics

Crafts / Multimedia

The facilities in this logic to show contradictions and ethnic landscape of imagination, beyond the physical limits time and space through the use of new media and objects or volumes that will become ready made of the concept of the wall or screen of the creative potential of artists with works that materialize symbolic overcoming cultural barriers, racial and religious.

On the theoretical contradictions that resulted from the global society in which we live, are elements that have challenged many formal certainties of the twentieth century, ideas for research and reflection that I gained after reading the essay "L'informe" of Rosalind Krauss and Yve-Alain Bois, which is opposed to the four principles of Modernism (the vertical direction, the visual, the instantaneous and sublimed), four operators (horizontality, materialism, pulse, entropy), which exceeds the concept of beauty and may result in facilities that staged an architectural value and report and symbolic exchange between the work and space. "
