- When was the last time you did something for yourself?
A guy approaches me in a park, while I’m reading Rebecca Solnit’s Wanderlust.
He’s offering me a beauty treatment for my hair for 60$. It’s a 4H treatment.
He’s smiling emphatically while asking his bright question, thinking I will be struck by his understanding of my feminine needs.
I answer him that I was actually doing something for myself before he cut me up.
