Me and the plein air painting
08 January 2017
Personally I have a weakness for plein air painting. I like to wake up at dawn. Take my easel and basket with colors and brushes and go.
It responds to my need of adventure and of staying outside in the green.

Fresh air. Silence. And the amazing beauty of Nature predominant everywhere on the sleeping humanity. As a romantic heroine, I go out .. for hunting beauty.
An outdoor painting morning is one of the most inspiring experiences for me. Surrounded by trees, hills, flowers and blue or stormy skies, I feel really at home. Immersed in nature, the world appears to me as it should always be.

When I am faced with a beautiful landscape in the heart of the countryside, with my easel, canvas and palette ready to be filled with colors, I feel that everything makes sense and everything is harmony, outside and inside me. I feel in harmony with the painters of the past who have faced my own challenges, have set my own problems and were inspired by the same Nature. This makes me feel less alone and make me feel like a caress from the Giants of the Past to a simple student of today.
