Hi everyone,
I’d like to ask you all to NOT contact me offering to expose my work upon payment, I’ve never made money with my works and I don’t see why any of you should in my place. My dream isn’t selling my works, they are virtual and hence un-sellable, anyone can see them just by visiting my web page, without having to enter the so called classic spiral of art.
This does not mean I’m not available for cultural events or exhibits, I simply don’t wish to play a part in the artist’s cannibalization process where the mind behind the work is always the least protected.
Unfortunately our market is full of sharks feeding ones hopes of fame and fortune just to enrich themselves and offering nothing in exchange, sharks who above us all decide deliberately what is worth something and what isn’t…you can visit any exhibition to see it for yourself.
I wish I could post here all of the emails I’ve received in just one year of my work full of praises and appreciation but all ending with the same request, money.
Is this really the only way? Is it possible that all of the great events promoted around the globe have no other way to finance themselves if not by weighing on the shoulders of those who already give the greatest contribution, their creations?
