Andrea Chiarabini (Rimini , March 4, 1984) better known as Andrea da Montefeltro , a young sculptor from Carpegna , was awarded June 29, 2013 the " International Award for Peace" conferred by the UN for his work " The time of peace. "

Andrew already has about one hundred and eighty works : some of these are on display in the galleries of Rome and Ferrara , others placed in private collections in Italy , one in the Vatican City, one in Mexico, one in the United States of America and one in Australia . Some works donated them : the "Cross of the Apocalypse" even to the then Pope , Benedict XVI. As well as the opera " The Strength of Nature " at the University of Urbino , on the occasion of the title of the Scientific Campus Enrico Mattei, inaugurated in October 2011 by the Rector Pivato Stefano and Sergio Zavoli .

Andrew, why did you choose the name of art?

Because the Montefeltro is humanly associated with that which is my art : a mystery to unravel. My pieces are inspired by visions of the night that I sculpt day and works on fine sandstone of the Montefeltro : an ancient stone from the soul that still retains the simplicity and perfection of the true Montefeltro.

But , then, you are a mystic ?

No, I'm a biologist , recently graduated from the University of Urbino with 110 cum laude. However, these dreams since I started my life has changed , I feel a great strength and I can not help but translate it into art .

Who is ?

I create for men , is a hymn addressed to the individual man , which frees him from the yoke that does not belong to reunite and do it myself . He wants to have as its ultimate goal , a path of evangelization through art
