The next August will mark the 60th anniversary of the mining tragedy of Marcinelle .
It was the ' August 8 , 1956 at Bois du Cazier when 262 miners died , including 136 Italians , 95 Belgians, 8 Poles, Greeks 6 , five Germans , three Algerians , two French , three Hungarians , 1 English, 1 Dutch, 1 Russian and one Ukrainian.
It is a large mining and Italian emigration tragedy , human migration in general that still afflicts humanity .
Through the signs and colors Selected artists will implement two own works to pay tribute to the victims of the tragedy and to all the people forced to emigrate in search of a better future .
