Gianni Politi was the Celeste Prize 2010 winner in painting section.

What is the value of contemporary art work? Which properties will define the artistic value respect to a common object?
CO2 presents Theory of Value, a project that involved seven artists and seven business history of Rome in a desecrating exchange of "Goods".
If Marcel Duchamp had already raised the question of the value of the artwork in contemporary times, refusing with his ready-made the production where the market logic included operations art, today this
reflection extends itself arriving to conceive a boundary between what be or not to be art.
"Theory of Value" wants to open a parenthesis on the actual perception of contemporary art, its context and the ambiguity of its meaning.
The viewer will be free to relate with works and objects divorced from traditional destination, to question the relationship between the artist's work
and the place where you will have to interact, in a program that rewrites the value
work of art as pure mental fact or appearance.
Gianni Politi be presents with his works and he
develops in close connection with goods in a common path from Gallery through the streets of the historic center of Rome.
It will be revealed by a map made available to the public.

io credo sia importante la percezione che il pubblico ha dell'opera, del suo collocarsi su un piano "altro" rispetto al
mondo già noto.
