The "Prize of Aphrodite" is a contest that interprets the works of contemporary art on the basis of the analytical operations, psychological, symbolic and spiritual codified by Renaissance artists in the transformation process of the creative impulse (Art Alchemical).
The path of Art is distinguished from the process of inhibition of alchemy religious instincts contemplated by the fact that originate from the potential psychological introversion regressive (melancholy) to reduce the instincts, impulses and moderate "tame" the libido rational ( the Virgin tames the unicorn).
The perception introverted, transmitted in the Middle Ages by the religious model of the Virgin, induced awareness of psychic reality guilty to generate chaos, destruction and violence, but this was not enough to channel the libido of a genuine desire for goodness, beauty and justice , inspired more by the Neo-Platonic philosophy that by Catholic morality.
