The Feast of children

The Feast of children

A scene from the book ‘A Boy in Darkness’ by Mervyn Peake depicting a long deserted banquet hall prompted Mr Mead to create a piece envisioning his own idea of what it would have looked like in its former glory. Within this drawing, Mr Mead reverses the practice of humans eating animals and instead reveals a scene of various different animals enjoying a feast of children.
