In descriptions of works of modern and contemporary architecture, even those that are well known, the disturbing presence of a ghost (wearing sometimes a tribal mask) is disclosed. It’s the simulacrum of a past when nomadic people were part of the natural context.
Today, the architecture that chooses to be encircled by nature goes back to the time when for nomadic people architecture was nature itself.
And who knows why today’s architecture seems to need nature to legitimate itself…..
A technique of hyper-realistic illustration is used to narrate, like in a still-frame, one instant of a performance, a snapshot of a brief apparition, which nonetheless represents the continuity and steadiness of the making….
Its purpose is saying that past will never leave us, it is roosted on our shoulders and looks ahead together with us…
