I am interested in the materiality of paint and the touch of the brush on the support. As we live in a faceless world of emails and text messages, the touch of the brush is the face of the artist. I place my work within the context of abstract expressionism. I have been inspired by De Kooning, Pollock, Guston and Ryman among others.
