Passage - 88 miles to the sea

From video images of the journey to Salthouse beach by car from the A14/A11 and on foot from the church, I have made animated abstract drawings and layered them with colour, clips of film and a soundtrack made from ambient sounds. The repetition and layering of the five colours of the five Dhyani Buddhas create a mulitiplicity of colours.
The work invites reflection on the transition from one state of being to another, and explores how the past and future are contained in the present.
