The work I present is part of a set of shots taken in New York and in Berlin: two people, a newyorker in Harlem and a tourist at the Brandeburg gate.
The aim is to attach great importance to the passers-by. The front
side suggest the intention of the subject to be portraited.
The flash light makes the most of every detail of the subject in order
to separate it from its surrounding, which is now transformed in an
indipendent background.
The portrait is always a shot that needs high confidence between the
subject and the photograper, a part of the job was to gain the trust
of these people in a very short time.
