Meditation is the art of consciousness without any effort.
The installation recalls, in its dimensions and shape, a nail bed. Originally the ascetics from India given to fakirism resorted to that kind of instruments to reach higher levels of consciousness through meditation.
In this case the observer find himself in front of an uncanny and potentially dangerous object. But the danger is just an appearance that conceals an extreme frailty. In fact, what at a first glance seems to be an expanse of nails is actually a multitude of graphite leads. Leads are darkly acuminated, but harmless: they break as soon as they are touched upon.
The research is endless, a painful uncertainty, an attempt frustrated from the start.
