Rien ne va plus

Installation, Fantasy / Visionary, Interiors, Minimal, Various materials, 400x400x200cm
Authors: A. Iera, E. Merlo, C. Paulon.
This work has been realized in summer 2008 on the occasion of Openart, an art exhibition in Switzerland.
Two white doors close and open a symbolic room, a sacred space crossed by a red thread, hanging in the sky and reflected on the ground. The visitor were invited to experience the trip to enter the room and playing the part of the tightrope walker on a red thread, actually only the reflection of a red thread suspended in a sky that is just the distorted reflection of the sky; in a room which is only a mirror if reality. The installation coud have different meaning (the materialization of a dream? an initiation journey? a metaphor of existence? a sentimental game?) only the visitor felt on his skin the true sense of the work.
