The Falling Man

This drawing is my personal response to 9/11. The news footage at the time included the image of a man jumping out of one of the towers to escape the fire. This seems deeply symbolic to me of the sadness and injustices caused by western capitalism - the way it defines, corrupts, divides and victimises the majority of the world's people for the benefit of a few.Dresssed up in a dualistic Judeo-Christian morality it has become a global monster. The picture symbolises this 'fall' from the truth of our interdependency, mutuality and the Buddhist laws of Karma. All actions have consequences.
