In "The passion of Mary" bondage is a pretext to study human ties, the fear and attraction cause by human relationships. It's one of the pictures of a project called "Human", a study on the double and the "obscure" aspects of human mind. This aspects are not considered in their negativity, but just as feelings that make the human being frigile and imperfect.
