Babel

" The body as a mysterious place of the enigma of identity and drive is the favourite subject of Alice Grassi. A body that often presents new prosthesis born in awkward and crucial zones. Her images seem to give voice to the difficult feeling of identity of the contemporary individual who is dominated by a feeling of unreality and being disoriented -this is born from the permanent "split" that derives from the reflection of the self on the surrounding and dizzy mirror of the world of media. The artist uses the same means with a different approach. The emphasis is put on the tendency to loss, and in doing they become an instrument for discovery".
