PHARMAKON
However paradoxical and reductive it may seem, the trend the human behaviour responds to is to try.
The workings of men’s existence is this way: in attempting and more or less consciously. To try is to come into contact with someone or something: different realities approach till they keep in touch. Getting into one relation men build up connection they are kept in: separated and united. Mutual distance is like Ariadne’s thread in the labyrinth of the existence.
Two people enter on scene. A man pushes forward a woman who is in a box from her waist down.
The exact point they are in connection is the same to divide them: a fruit, the fruit. To offer apple is a suggesting a phàrmakon, an amphibological term meaning both cure and poison.
