NBC

NBC is an acronym for this cannon covered by a canvas. In this series I describe an armed landscape: battleships in the military dockyard of Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave on the Baltic Sea, the ancient Königsberg, Kant’s and Käthe Kollwitz’s homeland. Painting a military landscape is a performing challenge against fear. The great military organization’s seductive power and its violent visual impact, gave me a way to challenge conventions and to substitute the normal parameters in landscape paintings for pictures processed by means of visualization errors.
