I ain't superstitious
This video was made after a site specific installationa and performance.
A bride dressed with old newspapers get into the church on the music of a mystic choir.
She is completly alone, none takes her to the altar and no future husband is waiting for her.
Concentrated she walks slowly to the altar but the carpet was sobstituted by mirrors, and she waks with no hesitation crashing them under her high heels shoes.
The title "I ain't superstitious" (as the blues song) is ironic.
Everything is about strong symbols and archetyps made of culture, traditions, religion and superstition.
Our society suffers of identity crisis we don't recognize anymore our origins, our values, our traditions. and often we decide to join different and more "exotic" cultures without really know ours.
Sometimes we need to crash our tradiditions but doing it with ignorance is dangerous, as we might crash ourselves as the bride in the video crashes her own image reflected in the mirrors under her feet.
