(Oil on Linen). The 10th Muse is inspired by the Ancient Greek Muses, the symbols and sources of inspiration. The strong pink and brown tones unite the divinity of the muses to their earthly presence, and from the body of the muse is the soft silhouette of their inspiring spirit; as they inspire and tempt human passion. Adding to the 9 Muses from ancient times however comes a 10th Muse (the Artist) who lies in the branches of the tree on the right hand side, head tilted up gently towards the stars. The painting stands as an important reminder that we are all connected through our dreams, inspirations, aspirations, and ultimately our passions.
